On August 1, 2023, SGG Group completed the acquisition of the German ultrasonic welding automation specialist SONOTRONIC Nagel GmbH through its European subsidiary, and renamed it SONOTRONIC GmbH (SONOTRONIC Ultrasonics).
Founded in 1974, SONOTRONIC has nearly 50 years of experience in ultrasonic welding for thermoplastics, serving industries such as automotive, packaging, medical, food, textile and environmental technology, with operations in Germany, the USA and Spain.
With the support of SGG’s global network and Sino-European synergy, SONOTRONIC will further strengthen its innovation capability, expand international markets, and focus on advanced joining technologies, particularly for electric vehicle applications.
